Well, lately I haven't been doing much except reading books. My fave authors have come out with some new novels of which I must admit are great. The first author which I will be praising for his work is Wayne Tomas Batson and his Berinfell series. The books are amazing!
This is the first book in the Berinfell Prophecies, Curse of the Spider King. It is about some Elves who fight are fighting a war with the Spider King and they loose. The King takes the Elven lords children, cuts their ears off and then sends them to eart. When the children reach their teen years then the elves come back and try to rescue the kids so that they might have a chance to win a future battle.
Venom and Song is the next book in the series, I am waiting on it so I don't know much about it. If you go to this website http://www.enterthedoorwithin.blogspot.com/ than you can have a chance to win it...But I am telling you it is going to take a long time to win it. The author decided to put in a "kill the thread" so whoever is able to publish a comment after 24 hours of the last comment.
This is another one of Mr. Batson's book, yet again it is amazing! The book is about a bunch of teens find another world that is in desperate need of help. Of course they all go and end up getting killed....sad but true. If you want to know more then buy the book!
...Life has been a bummer for the last week and a half, I haven't done much at all, and that is except for school...lol. Social Studies has been on my heels trying to destroy me bit by bit, but I gotta hang on and wait it out, if you know what I mean. I am working on a essay based on "How the philosophies of Voltaire, Rousseau, and Montesquieu affect our lives today." lol...too boring for me, I was dumb enough to even pick the question, but I already have half the essay done. Anyway, my cousins are coming over to our house for about four days, the are arriving this afternoon =). Too much stuff to catch up with them on BTW FYI they are from Calgary...GTG Alex is on the wedge swing and is screaming her head off.lol a usual day....
Through this section of my blog I have decided to summarize a book of the Bible one at a time. Of course, I will be starting off with Genesis and continue in chronological order until Revelation. I will start off with why the book was written and then I will go from there.
Genesis: The first book of the Bible written in the Middle East more specifically in Mesopotamia for the people of Israel by Moses. The book was written to remind the children of Israel what had happened in Egypt and what they had gone through since their exit. This book also was written for us so that we could see Gods relationship between himself and the first of the humans, Adam and Eve. An important verse to remember in Genesis is when God is talking to Abraham (12:2-3)
"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great , and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
God not only wanted us to have Genesis so that we could see the history of the beginning of the Earth, but he wanted that we are constantly loved by an omnipotent God.
