In the beginning, there was light!

Through this section of my blog I have decided to summarize a book of the Bible one at a time. Of course, I will be starting off with Genesis and continue in chronological order until Revelation. I will start off with why the book was written and then I will go from there.

Genesis:
The first book of the Bible written in the Middle East more specifically in Mesopotamia for the people of Israel by Moses. The book was written to remind the children of Israel what had happened in Egypt and what they had gone through since their exit. This book also was written for us so that we could see Gods relationship between himself and the first of the humans, Adam and Eve. An important verse to remember in Genesis is when God is talking to Abraham (12:2-3)

"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great , and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

God not only wanted us to have Genesis so that we could see the history of the beginning of the Earth, but he wanted that we are constantly loved by an omnipotent God.
